Challenge Coin
Military and Veteran Services is thrilled to announce the official launch of the Challenge Coin program.
Although the origins of the Challenge Coin tradition are debated as they were never officially sanctioned, they have become a mainstay of life in military and government service. One may not always remember where they went nor what they did, but behind every coin is a story that will never be forgotten. Thus, it is considered a tremendous honor to be awarded a Challenge Coin.
Student nominations are accepted on a rolling basis for outstanding NC State faculty, staff, and administrators who have made an impact on their academic, career, and/or personal journey. During our fall and spring graduation celebrations, we present those newest recipients with their coin and certificate of honor.
To nominate someone at NC State to receive a Challenge Coin, please complete the Challenge Coin nomination form.
